AKKUA R'EVOLUTION concept:
Akkua has brought a revolution in the world of the sport and especially in the world of the sports technical socks. A positive and catching revolution, where all Akkua products are - just for Akkua philosophy - in continuous evolution. A new way to think, because every positive revolution brings not only practical changements, but also theoretic and mental ones and this is 		 
the great Akkua challenge; to supply technology, innovation and design to all the people who want to practise sports activities in gym and swimming pool in total safety, hygiene, comfort and irreverence.
AKKUA R'EVOLUTION concept is a positive and contagious revolution, because everyone is free to think an activity for which our socks can be useful or trendy.

"AKKUA project" was born at the end of 2003 to carry out the idea of making the first technical sock for Aquafitness, a movement in strong expansion and evolution.
The invention and the development of the project is born in partnership with "Gruppo Decortex", a company specialized for 		  over twenty-five years in screen printing on anti-slip socks and stockings, and from the "revolutionary" and "irreverent" minds of the 3 founding members. Thanks to the manufacturing complex that covers over 4000 m2, Akkua is able to design, develop, implement and produce technical, innovative articles.

2006:
Akkua Swimwear, technical swimwear for Aquagym
2007:
One Finger, sock for pool and gym with separated big toe Akkua Kids, technical socks for children, for pool and gym
2008:
Akkua Rehab sock, sock for rehabilitation in pool and gym
2009:
Akkua Action sock: technical sock for Rebounder, unstable plates, beach sports Akkua Babette, anti-slip sock for leisure, only for women
2010:
Akkua SSD, the technical/protective sock made in collaboration with the University La Sapienza in Rome, for the posture and the orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation in water and in gym.
2011:
Akkua Revolution, technical sock for Barefoot Training
   In 2010 Akkua has created different areas of product development:

• Akkua Revolution, the first sock studied and created for the indoor and outdoor Barefoot Training. Training barefoot won't be a problem anymore'!

• Akkua Fitness, area dedicated to the development of technical socks for sports and holistic activities. In collaboration with the most important schools of Aquafitness, Fitness, Pilates and Yoga (EAA, WWW, Fiteducation, Power Pilates Italia, Pilates Italia, Polestar Italia, Pilates Promotion, C.R.E.A, Body Fly), technical socks for Aquagym, Pilates, Yoga, Rebounder, Postural and Soft gymnastics, beach sports are created.

• Akkua Med, area dedicated to the development of technical socks for orthopaedic and neurologic rehabilitation. Thanks to the experience worked out with professional people in the field of the rehabilitation, a range of socks for the rehabilitation in water and on dry surfaces is studied and created. A collaboration with the university La Sapienza in Rome is in progress.

• Akkua Gear, technical swimwear for Aquafitness and accessories for free time. Comfortable, supporting, antibacterial and hypo allergic swimwear for Aquagym. Comfortable and technical socks for leisure.
